The podcast follows the creative lives of Chuck and Brad as they discuss modern pop culture and traverse the landscape of being independent artists, performers and humans.

Chuck and Brad started The Chuck and Brad Podcast in early 2009. Since then they've recorded over 400 podcasts, with over 150 interviews/guests.

They've interviewed members of the bands Bowling for Soup, Less Than Jake, Reel Big Fish, Big D and the Kids Table and countless other musicians. Along with musicians, they've interviewed Jeff Tremaine (director of the Jackass movies), Casey Jost from Impractical Jokers, and many more comedians and filmmakers including Jason Mayoh, storyboard artist for the movie The Town, and Disney animator Nicholas Kole.

The podcast has led to Chuck being approached to write for Motif Magazine and Providence Monthly. He now consistently writes for both publications about the food, arts and culture in Providence, RI.

 

Ones of largest independent radio stations in the country, WBRU has syndicated some of Chuck and Brad's podcast episodes, and asked Chuck and Brad to do a weekly miniseries in 2017.

Chuck and/or Brad have consistently appeared on other podcasts including Tell 'Em Steve-Dave, MxPx frontman Mike Herrera's Mike Herrera Podcast, and 3 Gigs podcast with Tsunami Bomb's Dominic Davi.

APPEARANCES

Brad Rohrer is an improv performer who was trained in Chicago. He has eleven years and several hundred improv shows under his belt. He's currently a house team member at the Providence Improv Guild.
Chuck and Brad consistently headline the historic Comedy Connection in Rhode Island with their two-man live comedy shows, and have also performed around CT, MA and NY. They also occasionally do traditional stand-up.
They often perform shows based around their own comedic re-tellings of pop culture properties like Jurassic Park, Back to the Future, The Avengers, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas.


From the success of the podcast, Chuck and Brad also moderate panels at pop culture conventions like Big Apple Con, ComiConn and Rhode Island Comic Con.

They've moderated for celebrities like John Schaech (That Thing You Do), Chad Lindburg (The Fast and The Furious), the cast of Stephen King's "It" (2017), and Creed Bratton and Kate Flannery from The Office.


They also host events for organizations like RI Food Fights, Motif Magazine and Gamestop.

FILM

Chuck graduated from Rhode Island College with a degree in Film. Chuck and Brad have been creating short comedic films for Chuck's band Senior Discount (as well as many other projects) for over ten years. Their videos have over 100,000 views on various streaming sites.
The Fox Network has bought some of this footage from Chuck and aired it on the network G4.

Chuck has directed two full-length films, VBW Attack: The Senior Discount Movie (a documentary), as well a live comedy special from the podcast Tell 'Em Steve Dave (which Brad shot along with Chuck).
Tell 'Em Steve Dave is a podcast hosted by Brian Quinn from TruTV's Impractical Jokers and Walt and Bryan from AMC's Comic Book MenAfter Chuck directed and cut Tell 'Em Steve Dave: Live at the Gramercy Theatre special, they hired him to work on a few more individual projects ("Elephants in the Room" and "TESD TV") before hiring him to work consistently on their video projects, which are now created and released bi-weekly.

They do the vast majority of their film projects at Kevin Smith's comic book store in NJ, Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash. Kevin Smith appeared in one of their recent videos this past August when Chuck was hired to film at Kevin's film festival, Vulgarthon.

MUSIC

Chuck is the lead singer and rhythm guitarist for the punk band Senior Discount, which is signed to Paper + Plastick Records (owned by Vinnie Fiorello, the drummer of Less Than Jake).

Their newest album "The Best Revenge," achieved 50,000 streams on their single "Afterlife" in the first month of release on Soundcloud alone.
 

Senior Discount has played hundreds of shows around the East Coast with such acts as Sum 41, Anti-Flag, Gym Class Heroes, Girl Talk, Guttermouth, Less Than Jake, The Ataris, Leftover Crack, Big D and the Kids Table, Darkbuster, The Swingin Utters, Streetlight Manifesto, The Loved Ones, Suburban Legends, Patent Pending, The Toasters, The Pilfers, and many many more.
Chuck Staton has also played solo shows with artists like Chuck Ragan (The Revival Tour/Hot Water Music)Dave Hause (The Loved Ones), and Kris Roe (The Ataris)
In summer of 2018, Kevin Lyman personally added them to the Hartford date of the Warped Tour, and the Mighty Mighty Bosstones invited them to play the Bosstones' 2018 Crankin' and Skankin' Fest.
 

Brad has been part of countless Senior Discount projects, including performing vocally on their Christmas medley, and writing/starring in many of the aforementioned Senior Discount videos.
